Sharing "My current location": error in Google Maps URL format near Greenwich Meridian

Clive Flower shared this problem 4 years ago
Solved

Hi,

Sharing "My current location" by text or email when within 1 degree of the Greenwich Meridian generates an invalid location format in the Google Maps URL. Here's an example produced by my phone:

Hi, Locus Map says I'm here at the moment: http://maps.google.com/maps?z=15&mrt=loc&t=p&q=51.564347%2C-.164927 .

It seems the formatting of the longitude for Google Maps requires a leading zero. I've edited the URL below so it works correctly:

http://maps.google.com/maps?z=15&mrt=loc&t=p&q=51.564347%2C-0.164927
