Sharing tracks on Facebook

I re-installed Locus Pro. Before this, a map with the track data was shown in my timeline when I shared the track on Facebook. Now, there are only the coordinates of my starting point. I cannot find any solution in the settings.

Hi,

we've tested it and you're right, something's wrong. Thanks for reporting! We'll see to it immediately. For the time being, share your tracks via "Track overview" feature - it creates a hi-res picture of the track with map, stats and a chart - that can be shared further on FB.

thx for fast response. But alternative doesn't work as well. When I press Track overview, a special map (Assam SW ) ist requested.

Ah, I'm sorry I've forgotten to mention this type of map is necessary for this feature. Nevertheless, we are almost ready to release a new Locus version where the issue with Facebook is temporarily solved. The problem is that Facebook has recently changed its condition for apps posting data to it and the quality of sharing tracks is not at the same level as it used to be.

Sad, the only thing which is posted now is a pic of the track without map and any informations - completely useless :-(

Yes, I agree. The problem is, however, not at our side. Facebook changed conditions of its API for third party apps. Therefore, I use the "track overview" feature that can be shared on Facebook - it contains a high-res image with the map, track, statistics and elevation profile of the track.

Anyway, Locus is a very good app for hiking und works excellent for me. It replaced my Garmin GPS device completely.

Too bad Facebook changed its conditions. I really liked it the way it was before and was just going to ask the same question. Glad I looked here first.

Anyways, thumbs up to you guys. I travel and hike a lot and have tried many other apps and nothing can compare to Locus Map. And it was definitely a nice surprise to find out you guys are Czech!
