Show additional information on the map between multiple program launches.
Declined
Often, I use Locus not in navigation mode. I simple open the map and see where I am. After that I close Locus to prevent battery drain. After a time I launch Locus again.
If it possible, I want see on map point where I was before(on previous program launch) and may be line between previous point and my current position.
It will help me to quickly understand the direction of my motion. Also this information can help define the direction of Heading line. At this time after restart Locus, Heading line not show correct direction.
Please excuse my bad English. I hope I managed to explain my idea. In any case, thanks for a great program!
Hello,
I think I fully understand, but I¨m not sure about usage for this task.
Question for me is why you close (kill) locus between usage. Because when you turn off GPS in locus and just minimize it (it usually also turn off GPS), locus take no battery (if no service is running). When you do this, on next start, Locus should be on same location as when you minimize it.
I'm not sure if my description is clear for you. If not feel free to ask. Anyway because of this, I cannot agree the your idea is useful (because it partially already exists).

The app closes by android system, when Locus in background mode and I launch other apps.
However even if Locus do not close, and simple see map from time to time, but don't track recording enabled, it is difficult to orient quickly on map. If track recording enabled - it is very help me orient quickly, but it dry my battery unfortunately.
And one more moment - Heading line, shows the correct direction only at record of a track, or when on a routing. It would be remarkable if the program showed the direction(Heading line) proceeding from several last points of positioning.
Thanks for a great program! Locus really helps me in my travels!

Hello,
understand, let me at least suggest few things, that may helps
If Locus is killed from time to time by system, try to enable "Locus as a service" - http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:settings:miscellaneous
If you want to keep battery usage log, but still want to use track record, consider using "GPS Auto-off feature" - http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:settings:gps_location . If you untick "Keep auto-off enabled". then this feature will be disabled during normal usage, but it will be enabled if you hide Locus. With big internals, it should save you a lot of battery while keep your track visible (when you use track record)

Thanks for the advice, but I know all that. I did not notice right away that the program has API, I hope I can get myself to do what I wanted. Thank you!
