Showing elevation while using Navigation

Hi

One of my 'nice to haves' while cycling is to know how far it is to the top of this long hill! This can be addressed with the different colours for elevation when using Guidance, but I can't see how to do this when Navigation is being used. And yet when I End Navigation, the colours showing the different elevations are visible.

So, am I missing something? If not, is there an easy way to toggle Navigation off and on again?

Or as an alternative, can I display a small elevation graph at the bottom of the map showing my location on it.

As an aside, and I sure this point has been made before, Locus out performs Garmin's offerings by a huge amount. I have used the Edge 800 and the Oregon 600 - both good in their own ways but the flexibility, customisation possibilities, and the ability to download a route from (say) RideWithGPS without having a PC to hand - as is the case when touring - makes Locus on a smart phone vastly superior. Thank you!

Hi David,

it is possible to display your position on a elevation chart of your navigated route directly on the main map screen - use "Dashboard" feature. It has many options of customization and displaying elevation chart when navigation is on is one of them. More about Dashboard use and editing: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:tools:dashboards

Thanks Michal for the reply. I have been using the Dashboard but can't find an item that displays the elevation chart. Can you tell me the description I should be looking for - I have been through the list several times!

Thanks

David

Hi Michal

Please ignore my last email, I have now found what I was after. I had noticed the Various tab on the dashboard customising!

Thanks for your patience!

David

Hi David, yes, "Various" tab, that's the place :) Hope it'll work as you expect.

You're welcome!

by the way... beautiful photos, pity I've already been married :)
