Dear Michael.

The position is obtained from the phone system. A more accurate location you get to add an external GPS.

Please check your system battery optimization mode please see https://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:gps_lost_fix_android6

and settings GPS and sensors please see https://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:settings:gps

Best regards.

Hello.

Accurcy of GPS is from 5-10m, in the forest may be about 10-20m.

Best regards.

At garmin z. B. The speed sensor has priority over the gps when retrofitted.

I use now the gns 2000 gps sensor. The gps receiver has its own battery and the reception is great!
