stürzt beim Speichern eines GPS-Tracks ab: locus 3.40.1 @ Android 9 @ Samsung Galaxy S9
Solved
Hi,
we are very sorry for any inconvenience. Could you please try to replicate the problem, make an error log and send it to us for analysis? Here's how to do it: https://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=de:manual:faq:issue_reporting. Thank you!

Hi,
unfortunately I cannot reproduce this today. Copying of a track works now fine,
but
tracking does only work, if the screen of my smartphone is on and locus has the focus.
I track since years every tour I make with locus pro. I have not configured that locus shall act this way.
Usually this behaviour happens, when the device is in battery safe mode, but it was not.

Hi,
could you please update to the latest 3.40.2. version? We fixed a bug that might have been related to your issue. And, if you use Android 10, get permission for Locus to access location all the time, not just when you use it - the OS considers apps running in background as "not being used" and switches GPS off for them.

I have the last Update.
On Android 9
And it seems, since Locus 3.40.x it stopped working right. IT does only record when display is on and Locus has the Focus.
I did not find any config to Set gps/gnss to record during display off nor found I a right for the app like "use GNSS during display off"

Hi ,
this issue is most probably caused by your phone system battery optimization. Please, try to apply all instructions summed up on this webpage: https://dontkillmyapp.com/samsung.

Thats it! I switched off the battery optimization for Locus and the recording worked again!
Thank You for your quick answer and Locus, my most used and most often recommended App!
