Stable and smooth turning map in "Direction up"

I want to present the map with my direction up, instead of north up. Unfortunately, with direction up, the map is very unstable and turns 20 degrees to left and right, all the time, like a nervous compass.
When I use North up, the map is very stable of course, and the pointer that shows my position and my direction is stable too.
Is it possible to make the technique which makes the pointer showing my direction, also available for an accurate and still stable positioning of the map, when I want direction up.
Would be great!

This is awesome. Reply within two hours. In the evening!
I tried it at home and it seems to fix my problem. Tomorrow I will try it while cycling. I will keep you posted.
