Start and Stop a track when the screen is locked

When I want to stop a track I always have to unlock the phone. There should be a way to start and stop a track when the phone is locked.

Under Settings / Controlling /Display / Diasable screen lock / you can choose for Locus to override the screenlocks. Allthough on my wife's Android 9 phone there is one problem left: any Locus action that needs the keyboard does not work (without any pop-up or remark). She then has to swipe and/or find the unlock screen before she can go on. On my Andoid7 phone this does not happen.

Same behavior here as on henks wifes phone on my Galaxy S4 running LineageOS 16 (Android 9).

On my Galaxy Note 4 running Android 6.0 Stock ROM everything works as expected.

Hello guys,

Robert, how you expect this should work? With some active notification directly visible on the lock screen? Does any app behave like this?

Henk & c.s.g ... from what I was able to find out, there is no supported way to bypass secured! lock screen mechanism. What I did in the latest two versions (I was trying to solve the problem with a secured screen lock a few months before) is the best I'm able to do now.

The idea was to have something like when playing audio. E.g. my audio player or e.g. spotify have a small menu on the lock screen that then can pause and unpause the playback. Furthermore it would be great to see things like the status of the current track like distance, time or maybe the connected sensors.

Hello Robert,

I'm checking possibilities and can't find any method, how to do this. Do you know any other application except media player, that is able to display its own widget on the Lock screen? Methods I've found are no longer working since Android 5+, so it really looks like this can't be done on the recent Android devices.
