Strava Heat Map not showing in Online Maps despite following your instructions
Solved
I followed the instructions here
http://www.locusmap.eu/strava-heatmap-in-locus-why-not/
to add and then overlay the Strava heatmap (biking) to my Locus Map Pro.
I made sure there is only one Locus/mapsOnline/custom folder on my Android device.
Extracted the Strava png and xml into that directory, and they are showing up there alright.
However, when I start Locus Pro, there is no folder named Strava, or the Strava heat map, being shown under online maps (nor under offline or WMS maps).
Can you please help me fix that?
Thanks!
Hi Alexander
If done correctly, it will show up in Online map tab.. Maybe activate by available maps.

Hallgeir,
thanks for your answer. Available maps also does not show Strava as an option.

Probably you have installed MapTweaks which provides its own providers.xml within the custom folder. The provider IDs in the strava2.providers.xml file collide with of the provider IDs of the existing providers.xml file. After changing the strava2 provider IDs from 10900 and 10901 to 11000 respectively 11001 the strava maps were visible.

You are absolutely right; providers id has to be unique!
Did use the tweak a couple of years ago. Haven't paid attention to ID for some time since my "system" is healthy... Thanks for clarification

Hi Alexander,
open the XML in an editor and make sure the provider IDs are unique (no other provider in your online portfolio has the same ID):

Thank you Halldeir!
That did the trick!
The Strava maps are now there.

Is it me or does this not include the latest heatmaps? In looking at some routes... I can see a difference:
https://labs.strava.com/heatmap/#7.00/-120.90000/38.36000/hot/all
Also, anyone know how to get all heatmaps together (ie. bike and run together)? Perhaps a minor change in syntax?
Thanks

Thanks Peter.
I have only one location for Locus (sdcard), it's in the folder Locus/mapsonline/custom
And no, there is no other provider.xml there
