Text to speech in navigation doesn't work.

It's similiar to this issue but not exacly the same. Then text to speech didn't work at all.

Yes of course, voice is defined. My TTS is Polish IVONA Text to speech HQ (beta) for free in Google Play.

It's weird. I've switched TTS to Google (in my phone settings) and in Locus there is still Ivona. In other apps there is TTS from Google. TTS in navigation still doesn't work.

Really weird. We'll focus on it next week when menion (main developer) will come back from holiday

As Peter wrote, I'm currently OOO, anyway may you please post a screenshot of your settings in menu > settings > language & units > rext-to-speech? I'll check it and also try to set same parameters.

Also how you test if navigation voice works?

OK, now is clear why Ivona is in the Locus despite of system TTS settings (see first attachment).

Second question: I test it in the field or tap "text to speech" position in menu (see second attachment). When there is no voice the navigation voice is not working too.

Robin, I'm sorry, but unfortunately I don't understand on 100%. Is problem solved and navigation works as expected? Because on your screen shots, everything looks good so it should work.

No, no problem still exists. I didn't understand why Ivona spoke in Locus when I set other TTS in system globally (i.e. Google TTS). Now it is clear to me because Locus has separate option to set TTS system.

But as I said I can hear TTS in every feature in Locus except navigation.

In previous post I meant "No, no problem still exists".

Ok, I've just downloaded also Ivona TTS and it seems to work correctly on my device. As I asked before, how you test If TTS for navigation works?

Conditions are simply - Locus and TTS engine has to have same language. Then settings navigation > text-to-speech should show correct settings as you have on screenshot. When you tap on "test TTS", do you hear a voice? And also again - how you test if TTS works?

When I tap 'test TTS' I can hear a voice. How I test navigation? I simply go to settings -> more -> navigate and set destination. After that Locus computes route and navigation is turned on. But when I drive along the route there is no voice at all. Volume is set to max.

I was a little trip today. I must say a voice in navigation finally works. I tried a lot of different configurations, and I have to admit the problem was trivial. I had to accidently check a mute navigation voice in navigation 'buttons' window. I'm sorry for that and I think the issue can be closed.

Ah, no need to sorry. It's problem in Locus UI. It should be visible on first sight. Anyway I'm surprised that you heard testing sentence, because it should have influence also.
