Hello,

while I was moving the application between internal memory and external memory, I lost the main Locus Map icon on the screen of my Android phone Lenovo A6000, Lollipop 5.0.2. I tried to uninstall and re-install Locus Map, however the icon did not appear. I then tried to uninstall again and also manually removed whole Locus folder which stayed in the internal memory and then I re-installed it again into internal memory. But still with same problem = missing application icon. I can start the application through "Obchod Play" where I downloaded the application. So when I'm there and find Locus under "my applications", I can click on "Open" and it opens the application. But I don't find this a best solution. I also tried to manually copy a file "config.cfg" from my friend to my Locus folder. Through this file I can open Locus as well, but I also don't like this option. I'd rather have the nice Locus Map icon on my phone. Is there any way you could help me please?

Thank you, Dusan Prokein

Some time ago i had similar trouble with another app..

I changed language on phone as this seems to rebuild the icons.. then changed back to native language. Everything ok.

Best of luck!

Hello Hallgeir,

thank you for the idea. Unfortunately this did not help. It changed language on all application icons which I had on screen, however did not add the missing one for Locus Map.

Oki, go into settings...app manager.. (your launcher...like Touchwiz home on Samsungs).. Force close it

When pressing Home button you will have to choose launcher again..

If this doesn't work, do same procedure...but also "Clear data" before force closing

Hello Dusan, Hallgeir,

very interesting issue. Never saw it to be true. Maybe some problem in any special home replacement you use, or directly something in Android. Anyway suggest exactly what Hallgeir wrote .. maybe one more think .. after all these "clear cache" stuff, do a restart of device. It's a best cure on all Android problems I know.

Hope something helps here, otherwise I'm worried, there is no help (maybe wait on new version tomorrow or just re-install Locus Map itself)

Afaik it is allways a launcher issue, never an app issue... Back in good old days, you could get default green android guy icon if "icon-memory-pool" got corrupted.. Clear cache of launcher usually solve this.
