The unlocking by fingerprint is not always accepted.

Hello,

I have a little inconvenience with Locus when monitoring or recording a hiking trail.

Indeed, when Locus is active and the screen is off, the smartphone does not accept unlocking by fingerprint, but only unlocking by the password of the smartphone (S7).

But this is not systematic and I do not understand why. So I do not know how to solve this problem (if it is a problem).

Best Regards ,

Good day JMD,

what is your settings in Locus Map for > Controlling > Display > Disable screen lock? May you try to disable this feature or set only "Basic screen lock" option?

Hello Menion and thank you for your response.

The option "All screen locks" is checked in my settings.

But I'm 99% sure I have tested the "Basic Screen Lock" option this month (in the montain of Corse !!) and found that it did not solve the problem.I will still try the "Basic Screen Lock" option during this day and I'll report back to you.

I'm searching and searching ...

And the result is: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/33945568/how-to-use-flag-dismiss-keyguard-with-fingerprint-sensor . It is known problem, but Google developers marked this problem as "intended behavior". As I read and search for any solution, it seems that dismissing secured lock screen for application always disable fingerprint and face scanners.

Sorry, I see no solution here. To make it work correctly, it is needed to completely disable this "Disable screen lock" settings in Locus Map.
