Thumbnail of recorded track not generated
Hi,
I've problems to generate the thumbnails of some of my recorded tracks. See attached file. The start on track 1&3 and the end on track 2 are the same point. This is reproducable, generating the thumbnail of track 1 (per long tap) gives an result (even according to the choosen map theme, very good work guys!), track 2&3 show the little turning arrows, then nothing.
I use the (vector) germany south map of OpenAndroMaps on Locus 3.18.4. I've seen a thread with a similar problem, but it turned out to be a problem with the coverage of the maps. I'm about 100 km away from the map boundary.
The problematic tracks cross the city of Munich. Could this be the problem? Too much information inside the map? I've no other idea.
Please contact me by email if you want the gpx.
Thanks
Karsten
Good day Karsten,
because background of a preview is clearly white, it looks for me like Locus pick an incorrect map, so yes, problem with map boundaries.
You have south Germany map, but do you also have some vector map that is close to these tracks? Maybe a map of Munich? Anyway I'm worried that here is not simple solution. LoMaps from Locus store has an extra database which contains exact defined coverage for a maps, so such problem should not happen with them. But it is not a case of other maps downloaded from various sources, like OAM.
So I'm not sure, how may I help here. Maybe removing of some huge maps and replace them by more smaller maps. Thanks to this, maps will have more precise rectangle coverage. Anyway this extra work probably not worth these small previews.
