Timezone settings - where they are after update?
Answered
I can't find the option to set timezone for geocaching logs. The option was previosuly in Settings->Geocaching->FieldNotes but now it's missing. Where it was moved? Without it all my logs has incorrect time. It doesn't matter if I export it with addon or just from locus.
If the option was removed how to get correct time in logs?
Thanks in advice!
Ah we are talking about OpenCaching.
"What's the reason to change time while exporting logs to file?" - did you read my previous post? Time in logs is now correct. It needs to be in UTC+0 time. If you are in timezone UTC+2, then time is logically moved by 2 hours less. Anyway OpenCaching should offer settings to display time in your own timezone. If not, you needs to log in Locus with time moved two hours more, so not in 12:00 , but rather in 14:00.
Hmm it looks like quite complicated task that require some hacks in Locus to make it work on other web pages, stupid ... anyway for now, I may only recommend above idea.

Good day Karls,
settings for timezones was removed from Locus probably two or three months ago. There were a few reasons for this step, but most important of them were:
- till this settings was removed, Locus worked with times incorrectly. By incorrectly I mean that Locus moved logged time to some "virtual" time zone, so results looked correctly on geocaching.com web side, but they were shifted.
- logging of same cache over online or offline do not result in exactly same times
- users on east hemisphere had troubles with logging a caches due to previously mentioned "hack"
Mainly because of first point, this settings was removed as it was not needed. You may confirm that your log has correct time, if you download cache GPX file right after log and in this GPX file will be correct time you used to log.
Anyway I'm aware that times visible on geocaching.com site may be incorrect. Unfortunately this is old issue known to geocaching.com developers already for a few years, like: http://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=333744&st=0&p=5525341 and many many others.
Hope my answer is clear. Unfortunately I'm worried I cannot help here more as issue is not on Locus side. Thanks for understanding.

Thanks for the reply,
Now I know what happends with this toggle but it still doesn't solve my proble.
I think that it is more complexed - lets assume that I made a log at 12:00, in Locus the time is presented correctly. Then I export it to file - the time inside txt file is changed to 10:00 due of my time zone. In result the time in OpenCaching site will be not correct as it doesn't use any time zone while importing logs. The time on GC is less important form so if they have bug with time zone i can handle it but the time on OC should be correct. What's the reason to change time while exporting logs to file?

Ok now I understand. OpenCaching don't offer direct correction for timezone, only a option to manualy correction of time by adding +2h but it have to be done each time I load fieldnotes. It would be great if there will be a option to ignore timezone while exporting to file.

This is so stupid! Thanks to removed timezone all my afternoon and evening logs uploaded to gc.com are shifted to next day. Really many thanks for making the app more and more "efficient". You had 5 stars from me in the store about 5 years ago. Pity that I cannot go lower than 1 now.
