Solved

Hello:

I have tested the beta version 3.38.5.1

the upgrade log say "Support all kinds of 256px based tiles for Sqlite & MBT maps."

I think there is some bugs for this issue. I test 768px, 1024px Sqlite & MBT maps.

The map is still distorted. I put the sample files in dropbox for you to test .

Good day Norman,

thanks for the bug report and shared sample maps.

Your maps seem to be perfectly fine. What exactly is the problem? If map tiles match one on another and really only problem is that maps since 3.38 are little rescaled, it is perfectly expected behavior we wrote about here under "Automatic map scaling". You may disable this behavior if you do not like it in Settings > Maps > Advanced > Optimize raster maps resolution.

Hello Menion:

Thank you very for helping to slove this issue. Finally 768px 1027px map can work in my Locus map.

I don't know the reason why. When I report there is map distortion,I am using Mobac 2.0 with XP OS.

The test file in dropbox is by Mobac 2.1 and Win10 OS. I am not sure is this cause a difference.

Anyway It finally works. Thanks again for your great effort and you can close this topics.

ps.As you can see in my test file. 768px and 1024px is very very clear without any re-scaling in Locus.

Hello Menion:

Can I ask you one extra question? When I use offline map,Does it also use cache file?

If yes,Can I clear all "cache file" of offline map?

Good day Norman,

offline maps have own small cache for initialization parameters. It is placed in Locus/cache/maps/init(2). You may freely delete it and Locus then recreate it upon next restart. Anyway, effect is almost the same as when you in app Map manager > offline tab > top toolbar press "Refresh list".

Have a nice day,

Hello Menion:

I do further study. I think I find the cause of 768px 1024px map distortion when I do the beta testing in Ver 3.38.5.1.In fact. Software got no problem. All my map got no problem. But why is the map distortion? It is because the cache file by previous version which don't support 768px 1024px map.

How do I prove this? I make a new folder and move all my map to new folder. All map is working O.K. If my 768px 1024px map is still in original folder. It will show map distortion even in Ver 3.38.6.

So I think If I can delete offline map cache.Everything will be O.K..Anyway this issue is really solved.Thanks.
