Track overview not report name of track

Stefano Giampietro shared this problem 6 years ago
Solved

Hello,

i noticed that with track overview (sharing in the track panel) it does not correctly report the name assigned to the track (as long as it is positioned there). This is covered by the image in the corner.

I add preview.

Bye.

Hi Stefano,

would you please send GPX of the track for testing? So far we are not able to simulate the issue. Thanks

I had never noticed, but only now have I seen that in that place (which I have highlighted) there is a writing covered by the image.

In this other track you can see the top of the brackets that I used in the track name.

I hope I explained myself ... I use google translator.

again, I'm not able to simulate it, see:

It has probably something to do with resolution of your device - I'll forward this to the main Locus developer for assessment. As he's out of office on a vacation, he'll send feedback next week. Thanks for understanding.

I noticed that in the track overview you generated, the map has the theme instead, of my no.

I did a test and i see that the map theme appears only if i use LoMaps + internal theme.

If i use online maps or Openandromap + Elevate LE theme, this does not appear in the track overview.

I downloaded OAM of Italy + Elevate theme and this is result of the test:

Ok.

So this means that the map themes are only displayed with Lomaps.

Thank you.

All vector maps - LoMaps and OpenAndroMaps are themable. But your problem was missing description in the Map overview window, which is, obviously, independent on used themes.

of course.

Hi,

this is a little problem. I'm able to simulate same issue. Problem is that side statistics are too long and there is no space for this custom description.

Solution?

  • smaller fonts
  • smaller bottom "ads" on Locus Map app
  • remove some statistics

I think we should create a smaller bottom "ad", anyway as the quick workaround, I've little bit decreased the size of fonts, so it should be enough to display one or two lines of description. And because I think that own description is a lot more important then generated statistics, in next version will be described first and stats below.

Hope this will solve this issue.
