Track recording notification icon with Android 5.0.1 (Lollipop)

There is only a single-color-box as notification icon for track recording with Android 5.0.1 (Lollipop) on my HTC One (M8) / Sense-UI, see screenshot

Good day Heiko,

very interesting. To be true, I have absolutely no idea why this happen. In top system bar should (as is on all my devices) exactly same icon as you may see at bottom when you slide whole panel down.

Anyone same experience on any other device? In this case, I should wait till next official release of Android L (5.0.2) if this won't be fixed there.

I just tried on Android 5.0.2 and I see the same effect: pls see attached screenshot.

Device: Sony Xperia S (rooted and rom nAOSP 5.0.2)

Hmm thanks R50, you "forced" me to test it more. I've tried track record on Nexus 7 and ... same issue. Perfect :).

the end, I found that my Galaxy S5 works incorrectly and what happen to

you is correct in new Android L. So I've improved icons and in next

Locus version it will looks a lot better.

I have a similar problem when running Locus as a system service.

Although it is not a single color box, the colors are still wrong. Z3 Compact 5.0.2

When I pull down the drawer, the icon is just fine.

hmm question is ... is this bug? Aren't all icons in top system bar just black&white?

Mhh, I guess you're right. Didn't really notice as when the notification first appears it is colored.

Then I'd like to propose to change the notification icon in a way that it is more recognizable. It is very hard to see the puzzle pieces and therefore it seems to be a white block.

Of course this is not a real issue, just a minor annoyance.

I'm checking design guidelines suggested from Google and this is indeed feature of new version of Android - all system icons for applications that correctly target new version 5.0+, will be changed to black/white.

I'll try later simplify Locus icon to be "better visible", but as you wrote - it is just a minor annoyance, so it has no big priority. Thanks for information.
