Hello.

Learning Track (Route) Guiding and notifications.

To do so:

Go to Tracks folder: Data > Tracks.

Tap on the desired Track.

Tap Guide button.

Choose Guide On or Guide On reverse, if you want to switch start point and end point.

After that you’ll see your route on the map, along with info about distance from your position to the first point of track.

But in reality, I see the dotted line and info about distance from my position to the third point of the track, but not to the first point of the track.

Tap Guide button and choose the closest point leads to the same result (third point of the track, but not to the first point of the track).

When approaching the track and away from the track no notification can not hear.

What am I doing wrong?

No one to answer ;-) So I give it a try.

From Locus manual:

  • Let Locus show you the nearest point on the map. (= a not 100% correct expression).

Nearest Point:

Your observation is probably caused by this setting:

In General setting: Guiding-> Tracks-> set Next point. The standard Locus setting here is 100 m. Free user setting here is minimum 10 meter. Result: A soon when entering a in a new "Nearest point 100 m" (10m) range, the dotted line will jump to a next trackpoint, so always pointing at least 100 m away or more. If you have a lot of trackpoints in an 100 meter tracksection range, the dotted line jumps over these points according to the previous distance setting.

Notify when away from track.

Settings: switch the slider to 'ON' if already set up if no, for the user Setting tap on the text line !

In the next field you can set your personal preferences.

Add a reasonable warning distance: (50m)

Repeat every xx seconds. (60 seconds)

And choose alarm signal or alarm sound or TTS.

Test if you hear a signal or alarm sound or TTS "Do you like Locus ?

Also Vibrate setting is possible.

Than confirm your settings. "Set."

Ready. Should work normally.

Regards,

Willy.
