Track record does not work

Solved

When I try to record a track, Locus does not record any point. I varied the settings - no difference. The map shows perfectly my position, but no track.


At the status bar, there is a permanent message: "Recording - 0h:00m:00s - 0.0m - 0Points" - no change of time etc.


I am using Samsung Galasy S3.

It worked in the past before?

save your settings.


reset settings to default and tray again.


maybe you have wrong settings.

Thanks - I got it working with your response.


My main misunderstanding was that I thought that Locus somehow manages to overwrite the system GPS setting. (It showed my position quite exact even without having GPS switched on on system level.) Now, having GPS on on system level, everything works fine.

I recognize that Jorg. I use Widgetsoid to switch GPS on or off. When starting up Locus, it says "GPS enabled" but it cannot override Widgetsoid. Not a big problem for me. I prefer to be in charge this way.

Perfect that problems solved


I also know that this is little bit confusing.


That`s main reason, why I at least changed description of button that enable "GPS" to "My location" and also when you enable it in Locus, you don`t see "GPS enabled", you just see satellite icon and "Enabled" text.


Problem is, that "My location" button, just enable Locus to start receiving location data from various sources, like wi-fi, cell-id, Bluetooth GPS and also internal GPS of course. This button anyway do not change state of system GPS. That`s just for Jorg info, to make it more clear ...
