Tracks altitude

Hi.

Yesterday i recorded a track (GPS only).

I don't understand why the shown altitude in the label of any point of track is so much different from the value indicated in the label of very close point on the map.

The track is in a flat country and the real altitude is more or less alike to the map's value (35-38m).

-Used map : VEC V3 Italy (offline)

-Galaxy S3 Neo GT-I9301I

- Android 4.4.2

-Locus PRO 3.8.2

Good day Ezio,

altitude when you "long-click on a map", has more possible sources. If it is took over internet, it is correct altitude value already modified with special parameter "distance between ellipsoid and geoid".

If you do not have enabled this option in Locus, recorded values are not modified by this value and it is possible that they do not match "real" values. To enable this parameter, check this manual: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:tools:altitude#offset . Suggested is to use "Automatic" system.

Usually different is between +- 40m, so it should be your case.

Let me know after another test, if this helped.
