Tracks to Routes

How can I easily convert a rough track comprising only a few corner points into a route using offline

routing service BRouter? So far the segments of my rough track remained as straight lines between

the corner points. Most likely this is already adressed somewhere but I not manage to find it.

Best regards

Hi Erich,

"converting" is not the right word for the procedure you 're proposing - it's making a usable route from an unusable (too simple). A track is made by recording someone's movement. So the only way how to make something from your "rough route" is outlining it with the "add route" feature with some router engine on:

Hi Michal,

thanks for the information. Your red lines connect the corner points of the route, but the routing is not yet done, since the red lines would not remain straight. What I did not find, is a way to turn a series of points into a true route in one go and also to reroute using a different routing profile. Additional corner points created during the routing process would of course be ignored when rerouting is started. BRouter would allow for that but there is no simple interface to launch it from Locus.

HI Erich,

the red line is the "rough" one, the violet line is the routing. Anyway, maybe you need something else. There is possibility how to make a route with BRouter from a bunch of points. See instructions here (I assume you are German so I'm posting the German version): http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=de:manual:user_guide:tracks:planning:brouter
