I'd love to see a display of traffic jams on google satellite map. We Kaliningrad is running in the application Yandex.Navigator, and Navitel. Google Traffic in our city is not working.

Three years passed ... things are changing ...

It would be good to recheck the implementation option.

Traffic Layer

The Google Maps JavaScript API allows you to add real-time traffic information (where supported) to your maps using the TrafficLayer object.

Thanks

Good evening Condor, Sergey,

this is still quite complicated task. In most cases (here as well), stuff from Google has terms of use that does not met Locus Map usage, so it't javascript API cannot be directly used in Locus Map app, sorry.

Good Evening Menion, please help me why Yandex navigator is not displayed in the navigation selection options?

It's amazing how many years ago I was interested in this and I returned to the same question again) Today I was returning home to the city from the region on Friday at 18 o'clock, and naturally I got stuck in traffic jams. Locus showed travel time 26 minutes, Yandex navigator 47 minutes, actually drove an hour.

Hey Segey, u can overlay google traffic maps, but you need to install additional online maps provider

Hey John.

Will this only affect the display of traffic jams, but not the choice of route and determining the time of movement, taking into account traffic jams?

Do you have a link to the google traffic layer?

Why don't you use Google Maps? It is made for driving and is perfect for that. Locus is made for hiking and biking.

Thanks, yes, I use Google maps and Yandex Navigator (it works better for us than Google maps) for driving. But in our country, trips are often planned in such a way that a combined mode of movement is used, car + on foot or car + EUC. We have a small area, 85 by 200 km in size and we have collected 2200 points of interest, create routes on manymap.io, save in kml and upload to locus map, and then all trips are mostly for one day and start from the city and end with a return to city. The return often falls at the time of traffic jams and therefore you have to switch from Yandex.navigator to the locus and then back, but you want everything to be in the locus at once.

You can jump directly from Locus to Gmaps (or even Yandex).
I search Locus my destination (POI or long click on map.
Then I say Navigate with Gmaps.

Same here. Select my hiking startpoint in Locus, go to details, select nbigate and select the car navigation app of your choice (gmaps for me). If Yandex is not shown there, ask Menion why.
