Audio coach "Quickstart button"

currently user can use trainings manager as i know only while trackrecording.

But trackrecording is not necessary on each tour and for now at the end i heave to stop and delete recording.

So my idea:

"Trainings manager" Quickstart button for side panel, long click select profile (bike, jogging...) short click start/stop trainings manager without track recording.

hmm i think TM use only the recorded data to know what's going on.

Correct, this is how it works now. I'm not saying it cannot be changed, but it will require firstly this feature http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/summary_of_total_km_avg_speed_altitude_time_and_so_on and then balloni's suggestion may work on data "recorded" by mentioned feature ... uff :)

But the idea of a quick start in side panel is great. Should be realized with the given tracking source.

Good day guys,

during work on "training manager" updates last days I noticed this "idea" as well.

Does it make still sense? We more think about renaming training manager to something like "audio coach", which will more clearly say that it's something attached to track recording and just say some announcements.

For me, this idea is not needed. Training may be setup on recording panel right before recording starts or setup for automatic start for every recording profile. Which I believe is enough ... what you think?

Hello Menion,

For me is "audio coach" the right name for this funktion. The rest is fine, no more work here needed.

I would prefer name that won't associate any "fit" or "training" activity.

The advantage would be that you wouldn't have to tap "discard" button (can't remember its proper title) after finishing track. Locus is over-complicated, no need for a such function. It won't save any power.

Hi guys,

can't imagine, how this feature should work without active track recording. This "audio coach" simply notify on changes in recorded track. What values should be then notified when no recording will be running?

Any if some quick start of "coaching" will on background starts track recording then will be then automatically discarted, then why you don't simply create:

  • one folder named "Trash"
  • one recording profile named "My training" which will automatically start certain "audio coach" profile and also automatically save into "Trash folder".

With this, Locus will only fill recorded tracks into "trash" folder which you may from time to time recycle. And maybe you find some recorded track useful in the end ...
