Some of the latest recent updates have made it no longer possible to use voice guidance in Brazilian Portuguese. Only Portugal is available. Is this a bug or was the removal planned?
Locus Map application is translated by its volunteering users in a crowdsourcing project Crowdin (more info: https://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:about:translation). Currently, 37 languages are active and available for translation. From all these, newly, the app provides only those exceeding 70% of the app texts. Brazilian Portuguese, unfortunately, is translated only in 28% (see https://crowdin.com/project/menion). Selection of TTS languages depends on availability of usable app translations.
So, if you need Brazilian Portuguese in Locus Map, join our Crowdin project and help with translations :) You'll be heartily welcomed and rewarded with LoCoins at the end of the year.

28% of the total. If you only evaluate the core of the application, the translation is 93%. It is curious that until the last update it worked perfectly!I still haven't found any option that was not translated when using the app.
the thing is, Google as the main Android language provider offers European Portuguese on places where the Brazilian Portuguese translation is missing. Therefore it seems to you that the whole Locus is translated. The same system works for selecting TTS, with one difference - Google uses the whole TTS package, not just missing phrases. Nevertheless, we have changed the system a bit and enabled option to select Brazilian Portuguese TTS - just wait a few days for the version 3.44.3.
I signed up to support the translation! I haven't been approved (yet?)Thanks!!
I've just approved you as a new Brazilian Portuguese translator. Thank you for entering the community! The new version 3.44.3. version with functional Brazilian TTS will be released today or tomorrow.
