To save battery it would be better if locus turn of gps between logs if interval is longer than.... lets say... 15 seconds, meters are not important. I use recorder to track my mountain hikes and battery is important.

Thank you, what if i use recording profile? All i want is to save battery when recording my mountain hikes. I can set long time intervals, ovet1 minute and inbetween turn off gps, as it is in autooff feature.

Auto GPS-off has maximum priority in all cases!! So usually best is to set GPS auto-off as you need and set 'minimal accuracy' to for example 50m and then in track record set 'maximal accuracy' also to 50m (and time and distane limit to 1m/1s). This should cause, that GPS auto-off will turn on GPS till it find location with accuracy 50m or better and only this point will be saved to recorded tracks.

It's little bit tricky, but it worth it, because with this feature you may usually track your ride for a whole day and it allows to save battery a lot

Thank you very much, but it is some kind of trick and you have to have good knowledge of locus to use it.

yes it is. We call this feature "Most useful and most complicated" :)

It's one of features that definitely needs some predefined settings or simplification. I just work a little bit, on recording profiles so I'll try to think if there should be any way, to add GPS auto-off settings as a part of recording profiles that should simplify it a lot

It would be great to have it simple to understand and use it.

P.s. this option would be wellcomed in profile settings to save in it like time and distance
