Two Separate Backups

Is there a way to merge two backups? Found an old backup that I'd like to incorporate into my existing Locus tracks.

Hi,

I'm afraid there's no one-click solution of this. I would backup my actual tracks, then restore the old backup, exported all its tracks to GPX, then restored the actual one and imported all exported tracks.

Thank you for your response. I did that and it did work however some of the stats are missing such as total time.

Not a huge deal but wasn't sure if maybe I was missing an option in the export/import that could cause that or if it was likely due to how much older the backup is that I'm trying to restore.

Thanks again

Hi AJ,

do you still have the backup files? Try it again and this time export the tracks in TCX format "activity" mode.

Michal,

I do and that worked perfect... Thank you so much for your help. So glad to have these old tracks back. They were from hikes and kayak trips that I would likely not be able to do again for some time.

Been using Locus since around 2014 and it's been amazing.

Thanks again,

AJ

Hi AJ,

great news! I consulted this with the main dev and he said GPX should have worked as well because all stats are calculated back from it. Nevertheless, you're satisfied and that's the point. Cheers!

I can help answer that. I was importing as a KML/KMZ which was the default option. Sorry for the confusion.
