Two same geocaches
Solved
Hello!
I have a little problem with locus.
Wenn I tip on the screen to a geocache symbol, the popup screen comes up with two same named caches.I have this problem with all geocaches.
I use the newes version an the gdak addon.
Thanks for your answer!
Thomas
Hello Thomas,
it may have few reasons.
1. you use live map ("periodic updates in locus settings") so you constantly see loaded caches from gsak add-on?
2. you have own visible caches in Locus category?
When you tap on one or second cache, there should be "Category" information, so you may see if cache is from locus database or from other source

I use periodic updates .
No, when I tap on the cache, there is no category information.

Hi Thomas,
this can also happen if you import geocaches (e.g. from a pocket query) and you do not choose the "overwrite" option for existing caches.

that`s correct, it`s also possible to have duplicate points in category anyway in this case, every point will have in it`s information dialog, item "category" with category name.
So Thomas, I`m sure, one point is then from periodic updates. Second point may be just from GSAK add-on. Didn`t you just simply displayed points from add-on and then also enabled periodic updates?
Points have to come from any place. It`s not probably problem in Locus with some duplications. It`s more problem of using too much functions at once :) Try to experiment a little bit

Thank you for your help.
I found the mistake. It`s like Menion wrote. To much funktion at once. Gsak add-on and geoching live. ;-)..............and some pocket querys also.........
Thanks again for all your help! :-D

Menion, I think there was already a thread about this topic. Anyway, I have above situation many times. So maybe there is a possibility to add a creation date just next to the point name. So we will be able to quickly differentiate which point is new and which is old?
