Undelete a track

Answered

I have had a minor disaster.

I accidentally, somehow, deleted a track I created yesterday, that I need. I meant to only delete a point on the track, not the entire track, but I must have gotten confused, and deleted the entire track. Is there any way I can recover this?

Good day Ron,

just a few weeks ago, I had exactly similar experience. I wanted to delete single trackpoint and I've deleted whole trask instead - this seems to be quite dangerous feature.

Restoring of track is anyway not simply possible. Only option is, if this track was older then few days, it should be stored in automatic backup, that is enabled by default. If so, then option should be backup current state )over backup manager), then restored older backup, export track to GPX file and then restore and re-import old backup. Unfortunately no other simply solution is possible.

Let me know if I may help somehow.

I appreciate your help. Unfortunately, I tried to work on the track soon after it was created and saved.

I suggest possibly, that when the user is about to delete a track, that a popup be displayed, asking, "Are you sure you want to delete this entire track..." Or, when it is deleted, it is saved for a while, so a "Restore last deleted track" is possible. I don't know exactly what to suggest - I knew the moment it happened, that I had shot myself. I make mistakes.

Ah, then unfortunately there is no help here, sorry to say that. I'll at least disable ability to hide/delete track when "Edit on map" mode is active. This should prevent this duplicate "delete" buttons available in this mode.
