"unknown problem" displayed instead of map tiles.

This happens with every map selected. Data connections are active, reinstalling locus map pro did not solve the issue. So at the moment, the app is not usable on this device (Samsung Galaxy S7), unfortunately.

Hi Ferdinand,

what map in particular does this? Is it online map or some offline map? Raster or vector? What version of Locus map do you have?

Hi Michal, Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, this is the same with all maps I tried. Version is 3.36.2.

Online maps are affected. Download of offline maps stops with error message: Problem with remote server.

Which online maps did you try? Could you list them all? Also, go to Locus Map Settings > Maps > Online maps > check if "cached maps only" is switched on. If yes, switch it off.

That's interesting: Apparently I haven't tried systematically enough before, as I now found some maps that are working: OSM hike&bike and MTB Europe is working. OSM Outdoors and OpenCycleMap isn't. In particular, I would like to use 4UMaps again, which isn't working, either.

"cached maps only" is switched off.

Ferdinand, honestly, I don't know what causes your problem. I'm not able to simulate it. The error messages you observe usually inform about a problem on the side of the map provider or are displayed due to bad internet connection.

Hi Michal, eventually found the root cause, when going to the 4umaps webpage in the browser: it showed an invalid certificate. For whatever reason, it was deactivated on my device. After activating this certificate in the system settings, the maps are displayed correctly in Locus Map.
