"Unknown problem" when trying to export to Dropbox
Solved
Hi all- When I initially setup Locus Pro it linked perfectly to my Dropbox. Then, I believe through Dropbox itself, I denied permission for Locus to have access to my Dropbox. I don't recall specifically how that came up, but I believe Dropbox asked me whether I wanted Locus to have access, and I clicked "No" or "Deny". Now, I want to correct that mistake but I can't figure out how. When I try to, for example, export a track and I edit the Export Path, the Dropbox tab appears at the top of the screen but has an "Unknown problem" message. How can I fix this? Thanks in advance.
Hello Chris,
truth is, that I probably never tried answer "no" :). Anyway usually when some online service offer access to third party app like Locus, results of these questions are also stored directly in settings of your online service. So check dropbox settings in your web browsers. It should be on similar address: https://www.dropbox.com/account#security . At the bottom are "linked apps". Seems that Locus has there some problems with icons :). Let me know if this helps.

I also use dropbox a lot from Locus (for uploading backups), so I never click on 'No'. But I reckon the OAuth protocol is used and maybe the answer is here somewhere: https://www.dropbox.com/developers/reference/oauthguide.

Hey, thanks for your quick response. Yes, on my Dropbox Security page there are no linked apps listed, but I don't see a way to allow access for Locus Pro or any other app. I would really like to have Locus access only my Maps folder in Dropbox if that were possible. I also don't see any help tickets on the Dropbox page that provide any clarity on the issue. Thanks for checking on this.

Also-I tried opening Dropbox in a different browser (IE instead of Chrome) and I didn't see any difference with my options on the Security page.

Hmm I'm trying to simulate it and maybe I've got it.
Try to open Dropbox tab and in top toolbar is "logout" button. Do it and login again, it should work then.

Tried it but I get the same "Unknown problem" message. I just forwarded you the error code via email from the app. Thanks again

Hello Chris,
thanks for email. I'm anyway unable to find a real reason why this may happen. I've at least update Dropbox library to next version and also did small modifications in code, so now should be error message clearer (probably).
So please try next version and if result will be same, I'll need an log created by this method: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:how_to_create_debug_log
Thanks and sorry for a troubles!

Will do.
As a small thanks for your responsiveness, I've given you a shout-out on the blog for my bicycle touring project (http://www.conversationswithus.com):
