How to update app (from within an app)

I searched for half an hour, but could not find a way to update Locus

from inside the app. Besides, in the information menu, there is shown an

older version number, so the app does not seem to be aware that there

is an update available, so it can auto update.


I needed to go into the app-store, but the store says my app is up to date (which

obviously is not true). But when i go to the Locus page in the

app-store, then i can update to the newest version. Something is very

wrong here, i think.


Can anyone help with this?

Hello,


I assume, that you purchased Locus app via Google Play. There can be any problem with license verify. Please follow these instruction http://support.locusmap.eu/hc/en-us/articles/200009021-It-is-not-possible-to-verify-the-license

Is there no button for updating inside the app? Or is there somewhere a menu item where i can enable auto-updates?

Hello,

install this app on your device

http://www.androidpit.com/en/android/market/apps/app/de.androidpit.appcenter/AndroidPIT-App-Center

open the app, best you use it with wifi,

click right down button "My Apps"

now your apps installed with androidpit apear.

In top of the list are apps listed of which updates are available.

Thanks. Exactly here lies my problem. I have this app already, but it's never showing me updates for Locus. It's showing all other apps which have updates available, but not with Locus.


I have to search for Locus in the Androidpit-Appcenter, go into the Locus page and then i see a button for update. But not in "My Apps" - there it always says Locus is up to date.


And there is no update for this appcenter.


Is it possible to switch the app to Google Store? There i never had such problems with my apps.


Any other ideas?

Hello,


AndroidPIT app store separated their original AppCenter app into two applications:

AndroidPIT- this application can be downloaded also from Google Play and it's intended for reviews and articles about applications and games


AppCenter - this application is intended for download and purchase applications only

So please Install AppCenter app here http://www.androidpit.com/install

and try to Install Locus Pro from AppCenter app to your device.

There is no other way how to install applications purchased via AndroidPIT.


Unfortunately, there is not possible to transfer purchased license from AndroidPIT to Google Play.

updating from androidpit appcenter worked until june 2014. that's the last locus update i got (3.0.2). now, androidpit tells me in the locus history notes that 3.1.3 is the latest version, but the latest version available on androidpit is still 3.0.2.

unfortunately, i got no answer from androidpit so far... ;-(

what's going wrong? i bought locus from androidpit and therefore i cannot update from google play.

I'm still facing that problem on three(!) different devices with different Android versions since five or six Locus Map versions. I do not get any update for Locus Map via the Play Store App nor via Google Play in the Web.

In the Web Play Store tells me Locus Map is installed, so I can't send the latest version to my device. On my device the App is not listed as installed (but works like a charm).

I can delete it and install the next version. It is then listed as installed on the device. But after some time it disappears.


- I used older and the latest Play Store app

- I deleted and re-created my Google Play Store account

- I de-registered and registered my devices

- I went through several trouble shooting documents regarding Apps not being updated

Locus Map is the only App with that problem. I purchased it via Google Play store.
