Use Bing Maps instead of Mapquest.

Bing maps work like MapQuest used to but are still open source access. You can down load them and use them offline.

Other apps use them like All-in-one-offline app. but I like Locus Pro's interface better.

Bing aerial maps are used e.g. by BRouter web.

Well thought about bing maps probably two years ago. As I remember bing maps has different terms for public web sites and for closed apps. Also free daily limits were different. Maybe they changed the terms of use it was not definitely for free.

However bing maps could be one possibility how to replace mapquest maps.

With Bing maps.... for us in the UK, could give access to 25K(Explorer) and 50K (Landranger) Ordnance Survey tiles.

The Holy Grail!!!
