Use style of the folder by default on saving recorded track
Solved
I found that 'Use style of the folder' is disabled by default on saving recorded tracks. It may be since Locus 3.3.0 (Oct. 2014). As written in doc and topic below, the default is enabled, isn't it?
http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:data:how-to_change_style_track
Anyway, if 'Use style of the folder' is once enabled by user on saving a recoded track, the style will be used for further recorded tracks, too. However, for the already recorded tracks since Oct. 2014, 'Use style of the folder' have to be enabled one by one in track manager.
Hello ta-ka,
I'm now not exactly sure what is default settings, anyway as you wrote "if 'Use style of the folder' is once enabled by user on saving a recoded
track, the style will be used for further recorded tracks, too" - this seems to work. So I'm not sure, what is point of this topic, sorry.

Hi Menion,
My first point was to ask you to make 'Use style of the folder' be enabled by default for recorded tracks, because for manually edited tracks the default is enabled. Only for recorded tracks, the default value was forcibly overwritten to disabled at version 3.3.0.
The second point was to share the information with locus users. I couldn't notice the change more than three month and now I have to enable it one by one for already recorded tracks. It also took some time to find the way to permanently enable 'Use style of the folder' for further track recording. The way is tricky. I was trying to find such an option in track recording settings.
In fact, it was a bit difficult to decide where to post. May be Locus forum was better.

Understand. And place is fine, I just wasn't sure, what to do with this topic :).
You are correct with default value. It is probably more logical to set "Use folder style = true" as a default value, so changed.
About manual changes - hmm yes, there is still missing some global edit of styles for tracks (in similar way as it already exists for icons of points).
About missing settings - I believe that now you know it, users thanks to your post also and hope that new users won't be confused by this behavior. Because I think that extra settings in "Locus settings screen" is just too much on this tiny switch. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Perfect! About manual changes, it must be useful feature :)
