Using file names of gpx tracks instead of the names saved in the metadata of the files?
Answered
Is there a way to use the file names of gpx tracks in the app instead of the names saved in the metadata of the files?
I have GPX files that are named stupidly by the publisher (f.e. "5610 - Tour 1"). I manually renamed the files but in the app, it still shows the initial route names (from the files' metadata I guess). Renaming the routes in an GPX editor also seems a bit of a hassle since I have over 200 files.
Thanks in advance,
Kai
Good day Kai,
unfortunately this is currently not possible. Expected behavior is correct name in GPX file as you wrote (in metadata). You may try to remove
tag from start of GPX file, Locus then should (probably) take a name from filename. It may be faster then writing correct value into file.

Hi Menion,
Thanks for your quick reply! I was afraid that it won't be possible, it's a pretty useless feature if you assume correct naming. Well, I'll go and annoy the publisher then :)
