Vector maps not autoloading

Auric Goldfinger shared this problem 7 years ago
Solved

Is something wrong with maps autoloading?

I have two types of vector maps. LoMaps OpenAndroMaps, both for Belgium and Netherlands.

My settings are "enable maps autoloading" but "only for identical types"

This used to load the Belgium map when I enabled the Netherlands but scrolled into the Belgian area. And the other way around.

Now, the area not included in the Netherlands is just not rendering when I scroll the Belgian area into view.

Good day Auric,

in settings screen is at bottom of "Offline maps" "auto-loading" settings for vector maps. You are talking probably about auto-loading for basic raster maps - http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:maps_settings:personal - section "LoMaps & Other vector maps".

Do you have enabled autoloading here?

Yes indeed. I thought both settings influenced each other. The settings beneath LoMaps and vector maps is checked as well.

Ah sorry, I've read incorrectly your first post.

Settings is one thing, but same size of defined map tiles is second thing. Some time ago, LoMaps were published with 256x256 map tiles size, now all LoMaps are in 512x512px tiles. Tile size of OpenAndroMaps is not known to me. But the key here is, that maps have to be in same size.

Simple test: you may see it when you move fast with a map and you will see "loading" text on screen. Number of these texts on screen has to be same for both maps. Are they?

It is indeed. Even more, after two weeks trying, the maps started autoloading again. I have no idea what's different note. Cache clearing maybe?

Anyway, it looks like it works normally again...

Hmm and what about an update of Locus Map? In previous versions were some troubles, that were fixed in latest 3.18.7 version.

Glad it works now anyway :).

Makes sense. I updated that morning. So there's a good chance it's already fixed
