Do you see it with a file manager running on your phone/tablet?

Did you restart Locus after copying the file?

Why does the file name start with `_`? From where do you have it?

Hi Jacques,

in addition to tommi’s question:

* Vector maps need to be placed in directory Locus/mapsVector

* Working directory

Locus > Menu > Information > tab Locus . Please check if is working directory the same as directory where you copied the _france.osm.map file.

* Test sample vector maps.

Go to the Menu > Store > tab Maps > Vector maps free > download eg. Pyrenees. Can you see it in list of vector maps (after downloading)?

Hello thanks for de quick response. The files are to be seen with the external file manager. I have restarted Locus after copying the files, he comtinues to run in the background. I could now solve the problem by turning off my Samsung S3 and restart again. I also see the files again an again Locus works well. Is this a bug in the program? I hope you can do something with it. Sorry for my language.

Sincerely Jacques

You write : "he continues to run in the background".

If you quit Locus using the back button it shall be killed by Android after a short time (few seconds).

So I assume you didn`t close Locus correctly (e.g. pressing the Home key is not sufficient!).

I always stop Locus with the back button. I get a message "application minimized, active procesesses parking" So he don`t kill the processes and stay on in the background.

Hi,

when you copy new vector map into Locus/mapsVector, you need to fully close Locus (use back button and confirm exit). Restart is needed for refreshing list of vector maps.

In your case you need to stop the parking function:

Open Locus > Go to the Menu > More > Parking > Tap on “Cancel” and confirm

After that close Locus as is described above

One short note: closing locus is not needed when you download vector maps from Locus store
