Vector map not accessible after the upgrade yesterday

CK shared this problem 11 years ago
Solved

Hi,

The upgrade yesterday broke the offline Vector map feature. Seems like the directory can`t be found anymore. I also cannot set one anymore.

When I try to set the mapsVector directory -> choose ? -> yes -> "No directories".

So it fails to set the directory.

Was all working fine before the upgrade yesterday

Hi,

Locus has default location for storing vector data: Locus/mapsVector . Are there any data or is this folder empty (if exists)?

hi ck

Locus doesn`t delete/remove any map files.

Please use an filemanager an search for your *.map files.

Christian, there is really not possibility that Locus automatically deleted your maps. Maybe just some error in MapsForge library (that handle Vector maps, but it`s really weird). VectorMaps cannot be added to Locus by "+" button, because it`s there by default.

Anyway if you lost any maps, I`m sorry for that, have no idea why this happen, and I can just offer you that if you on email write me which maps you miss, I can send you links for download. There is probably not much to do.

Ah and also small suggestion, do some quick test of your memory card, if there is not any serious problem

Hey, sorry I forgot to update you guys. I found the map. After the upgrade Locus created the Locus folder under /mnt/sdcard/Locus..... before it used /mnt/external_sdcard/Locus where all my vector maps have been stored.

Thanks for the replies. Keep up the good work. Love the vector map feature!

hmm weird, this should have any reason. New ROM in your phone for example?

Yup, that might be the problem. Installed CM9, before I was running Darky`s (Gingerbread).
