Vector maps sharing with WhereYouGo doesn`t work
Answered
Vector maps sharing with locus stopped working in whereyougo on my Samsung Galaxy S II after the upgrade to ICS. Any idea how to fix it?
for this you need to use older Vector maps version 0.2. New format used in last Locus versions 0.3 is not now supported in WhereYouGo
WhereYouGo was also released as open source project so if new maps will be supported or not do not depend just on me now

how can I get the older version of vector maps?

that`s a good question. I`m providing inside Locus only new maps that support some nice features. For older maps - maybe someone helps with this because as I know, also on MapsForge (library I use for vector maps) are only new maps

how much work is to upgrade whereyougo? or how complicated it is?

depend on to what you want upgrade. WhereYouGo is now completely without maps and some features that was shared with Locus. You should check it here http://code.google.com/p/android-wher...
as I thought about it, there are three possibilities
1. use online Google maps - probably worst solution
2. use MapsForge library in last version. Relatively easy to do, only needs to connect with WhereYouGo system
3. integrate to WhereYouGo Locus API and use Locus as map part of WhereYouGo. Easier to complish but limited in functionality and also depend on Locus itself

online maps are still working
vector maps and offline maps doesn`t work
I like option 3, to reuse the vector maps from locus

Older versions of vector maps are still available here (europe only...)
http://download.mapsforge.org/maps/eu...
Those without a version info in their name are built for the new version.
