Vectormap rendering on a single core device stutters / is a bit slower since version 2.11.0

Solved

Hi,

I`m using a Samsung GT-I9000 with Android 4.1.2. (single core 1Ghz)

In my opinion the rendering of Vectormaps is a bit slower and it stutters since the update from 2.10.0 to 2.11.0...

It`s of course a subjective opinion, but could it be ?

Hello Felix,

you`re second guy who wrote me about this. Yes it`s possible. Locus is trying to generate four tiles at once now.

In next version (bug-fix in Tuesday or Wednesday) will be improved this system, where number of generated tiles at once, will be defined by number of cores, so in your case only one tile at once. Let me know if this helps

Thank you,

I will do that.

Well version 2.11.1 is good, but at close zooms there are still more lags as they were in version 2.9.2 for example.

But the new renderer is faster, especially for far zoom-steps.

In the older versions the loading-fields are longer visible, but the movings were still more smoothly as in 2.11.1

But well, it is okay.

ok, thanks for the feedback. I`ll try to improve it a little. Current system works completely different then previous, so I`m not sure it will be simple possible to improve, but (everything is possible ;) ) ....

Yeah, you can give it a try.

Even if I think not so far away the most devices are with multi-cores, but it could be good for them too.

You did a great job anyway!

Thank you.
