Voice navigation stops when the display is off

I'm sure there is a way to get voice navigation to work when the display is off, but I can't figure out how to do it. It resumes just fine when I turn the display back on.

Ok, I found the problem. The GPS Auto-off feature was set to sample every 60 secs. when the phone is in standby. That was enough for several (if not all) of the prompts to simply be missed on my test route. Thanks for the help!

I have a Galaxy S7 and it allows me to set battery optimization an a per-app basis. I have turned it off for Locus and it has made no difference.

Good day Mark,

interesting as I use Galaxy S7 as my main device and not problem so far.

What about Settings > Battery > Power saving mode, do you have enabled this settings (I don't)?

Otherwise "per-app optimization", are we talking about Settings > Battery > Battery usage > top menu "More" > Optimise battery usage?

No power saving mode is on. Yes, that is what I am talking about. Even the "Use Details" shows "Apps not optimized"

I am using Locus Map Free.

Thanks Mark. Seems you are another victim of active "GPS auto-off" feature. Glad you have solved it.

Looks like it will need some notification on such cases!
