Hello Emad,

do you have satfix?

sat icon in top panel must be green colored!

hi... My screen show the Sat icon you are mentioning. however, this Sat icon is not related to your app, it is a part of the phone android bar. Also, as you can see, it is working and I have used the phone to navigate many times before using google maps in few different countries.

Hi

ok you see the sat icon in top android bar, but i am not sure you see the state of it, searching for sats or fixed sat ?!

to be sure locus receive valid sat info, please add (for test) the GPS icon to your function panel on top or right side

http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:functions:panel

and i suspect it´s always orange and not green.

If so, one possible reason could be if your device is on android 6, that setting app permission "location" for locus is disabeled

If your phone GPS is fixed and functioning in other apps and Locus shows this alert box it looks like Locus doesn't have system permission to use GPS. Check it in your system settings.

The App is allowed to use GPS under settings menu

I added the icon. it is diplaying in orange color not green. However, the GPS can perfectly detect my location, yet it can not navigate to a destnation point.

What routing service do you use? Have a look in Settings > Navigation > Navigation data source

@Michal,

for me is confusing following sentence

>it is diplaying in orange color not green. However, the GPS can perfectly detect my location<

@Emad

please click on orange GPS icon, now you will see a "satellites window" and add this screenshot to your next post

@balloni55

obviously his HW GPS is fixed, other location-dependent apps detect his position but not Locus. Once I had similar experience when using an older version of BRouter - after its reinstallation Locus got the GPS fix without problems. However, Menion said it can't be technically possible as there's no relation.

see attached.

And what shall be the navigation source?

I used mapquest, yours and Broute

as i suspected, locus has no satfix

- no "last GPS fix"

- no used sat 0/10

- no strength/quality bars

http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:tools:gps

please go outdoor, run locus under free sky and dont move your device ~ 10 minutes and watch this satellite screen

and report us

Good day Emad,

is there any progress with this issue? I read it once more and for me it still looks like some problem with GPS unit in your device, not with Locus itself. Many people often suggest to try also application called GPS Status , that have maybe some miracle cure that sometimes helps. Maybe you should try it as well.
