Hi Martin,

unfortunately, we overestimated our time and human resources so at the moment the Locus Map 4 release is in some invisible future. The promised features and changes are very complex and development in such a small team is quite time consuming. PLease, be patient. we are working on it.

Thanks Michal for the update. Part of the reason I asked was also to gauge whether now is a bad time to simply buy the Locus Map Pro app.


It sounds like it a new app launch isn't around the corner, so maybe I'll just go ahead and buy it :)

Hi,

things have moved forward a lot. Cloud synchronization is almost ready and tested, web route planner is being built but needs a lot of work left to do. New database of users is ready, many minor actions are under way. The final date of release is still unknown though. We'd be happy to make it till the end of this year if it doesn't sound too bold...

Everybody feels excited about the upcoming Locus V4, how come I feel cheated?

I bought the pro version about 2 months ago, and just found out that it's a kind of dead end, with no further improvements but just some bug-fixes.


Knowing this in advance I could have saved some bucks ....

Hi Mic,

for the current Pro version users, the LM 4 Premium subscription will be available for a special price. Or you can stay with Locus Map Pro (next time renamed to Locus Classic) - it will remain the most souped-up outdoor navigation app as it is now.

Hey, the current Locus is incredible value even if there are no features added. We are talking about the price of two craft beers here! I am pretty sure that in its current version Locus can cover 110% of your needs :)

I totally agree with your comment. This program is amazing and has helped me in my hiking. Never felt lost thanks to it. All the little money spent was worth it.

I may not install 4.0 for a long time. Let's leave it to more expert and young people try it and fix the first bugs. If these people keep locus map pro running "as is" for me it will be more than enough.
