When locus is started, you should briefly see which preset is loaded.

Problem: When starting Locus I do not know which preset is active.

Solution: at startup briefly display which preset is active.

Even better: Display which preset is active. Including 2 buttons - 1. Ok; 2. Change

Good day,

concept of "presets" in Locus Map is made little bit differently. There is nothing like "active preset".

When you choose any defined preset from your list, all defined in preset settings are loaded into application. Result of this is exactly same, like if you manually set all these settings. And this is all. Good practice is to have one default "preset" which you select when you wants quickly disable all settings defined by previous preset.

Is my explanation clear? If so, then you will understand that it is not possible to implement this idea. Let me know.

freischneider I have a workaround for you: create a dashboard for each preset with a text field to display name of the preset. For example I have a preset "city" which is linked to dashboard "city", and only field in this dashboard "city" is text = "city" as below. Sounds convoluted, but works nicely for me, although have just discovered this bug.

@ Andrew Heard: Thanks for the good idea

@ Menion: Which settings are then at startup ?

Are these the settings under Settings, which were used last, without Preset?

freischneider- settings at next startup are the same as settings at previous exit.

menion - there may not be "active preset" but there is "last used preset".

To better understand, create for example simple "preset" with just "center map" settings. When you activate it, Locus enable centering of map (bottom left button on map screen). Result is exactly same like when you tap manually on this button. Centering is set so when you close Locus and open it again, centering will still be enabled.

Settings defined in preset is simply just loaded, that's all. There is nothing like "active preset", there is only settings in preset that will overwrite current settings when you activate it. Hope it is more clear.
