Where did all the Google Maps go? ? ?

Not a Problem

I can no longer access Google maps for online use or use the Google maps I have downloaded for offline use which is a major problem for me since my job is very dependent on and the Google imagery is the most accurate to use. MapQuest is the only maps I can access and they are a sad replacement since they only contain about half the roads which I need to do my job proficiently.

Google Maps is not a default map provider in Locus.

Maybe you installed them through an addon from another developer?

I have the same problem. It seems that not all the zoom levels are supported. Zooming in gives me "doesn`t exist" (translated from Dutch). I have this problem also only in satellite view.

@sweetpwilliams: and Open Street Map? I know it`s not so good in some areas, but in others it`s the best

@tommi: thanks. But where is the problem? Is google restricting the use of its maps?

from sweetpwilliams@gmail.com: Thanks for all the quick reply`s but I seem to have resolved the issue and learned something in the process. I was having trouble with Locus crashing so I moved it back to my internal storage. I forgot that Locus will create a file on your SD card if you have one. So all my information was there the app was just reading from the new file. Once I saw there were two locus files the problem was easily fixed. It still makes me curious as to why when a new file was created Google maps was no where to be found in the online Maps.

Google maps are not supported in Locus and their usage is prohibited by terms of use of Google itself, sorry. Topic closed
