Why Location and satellites are not working with my Samsung Galaxy Tab S3
Hi,
Yesterday I have transfered from Locus MapFree to version PRO (Order Number:GPA.3365-0891-4372-45246).
On my Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, Model NumberSM-T820, Android 8.0.0, before I start using LoMap I click Location icon fromGalaxy Menu. Then I click from Galaxy Menu Lo Map.
But every time there is surprise. Lo Map iconfor satellites is all the time brown (normally shuld be green).
And it is poping up note: Getting locationusing GPS or Wi-Fi is turned off in System Settings. Locus Map will not be ableto locate your location.
Even when I have both Wi-Fi and Locationswitched on I do not get Location and satellites.
I did checked your Troubleshootings and foundone item regarding location problem: losing GPS location or app killed instand-by mode and followed instruction. It did not help.
FYI when I am using Google Maps or Offline Maps& Navigation I have no problem with location.
I did uninstalled Lo Map Pro and installedagain free version, it is happening the same. After reinstalling PRO versionand resetting, all is the same. It does not display Position and signal ofsatellite.
Your Lo Map PRO on mobile phone Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Android v. 6.0.0 is performingOK.
I have to repeat that when Location is switched on, it is performing OKwith Google Maps or
Offline Maps & Navigation. Why not with Locus Map Pro?
Regards, Zivan
Good day Zivan,
I have to admire that I have no idea why this does not work correctly for you. Locus Map has an alternative method of how to obtain a location that may help in your case because it will also be a method that Google Maps use as well.
Please, open Locus Map menu > settings > GPS & sensors and at the bottom enable the option "Google Services assisted location".
let me know if this helped.

Thanks a lot for your prompt action. My problem is now solved. It is working and GPS icon is green, showing satellites.
Thanks
Zivan

Good evening Zivan,
this is really good news I hoped for. It is a little weird that it does not work without this option, but good to know it.
