Would it be possible to access Google Plus Locations and display them in Locus?

Google+ Locations is the replacement for the old Google Latitude service, where you can choose to share your location with select friends and display their locations.

However, the general Google Map (non-satellite) is used for displaying the location of friends and for many areas this map is very lacking in features which greatly hampers the use of the service.

It would be great if Locus could access and display this data, though I fear that this is data that might be, by Google, considered highly private and therefore they have not any API to access it, I would love to be proven wrong about this though.

Hello Kristoffer,

I'm changing your "question" to "idea" as this is an request for a new feature.
