Zoom problem with IGN Belgium

Answered

Since the 3.34.0 Locus Pro update, I can't use anymore the Belgium IGN commercial map. The map is opening, but it is impossible to zoom inside, the scale remains to show to entire country on the screen. My phone is a Samsung S7.

I am regularly using this map, and the problem arrived precisely at the time of the 3.34.0 update. It was not fixed at the 3.34.1 update.

Thank you for your help.

Since the last 3.38.0 update, I have exactely the same problem as 3 months ago with the 3.34.0 update :

I can't use anymore the Belgium IGN commercial map. The map is opening, but it is impossible to zoom inside, the scale remains to show to entire country on the screen. My phone is a Samsung S7.

I am regularly using this map, and the problem arrived precisely at the time of the 3.38.0 update. It was not fixed at the 3.38.3 update.

Although the new LoMaps are really nice, I would like to be able to use the IGN maps too...

I am sure you will fix it!

Thank you or your help.

I'm sorry for troubles. I checked the map and it works properly. Would you please try:

Menu - Maps - Online - NGI - Topo - Map options (three dots) and select clear cache. After that select the map and try to zoom in/out

Thank you

Thank you

Best regards

Hi Peter,

The "clear cache" option in this menu is in grey: I can't select it.

Thank you for your help

Hi,

thank you for info. That's really weird. Would you please create short video for us that depict the issue with zooming and also the inactive 'clear cache' option? I can suggest simple and free screen recorder app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hecorat.screenrecorder.free

Thank you for your help

I'm sorry but the size of video file is probably bigger than limit on help desk. Would you please use any sharing service like https://send.firefox.com/ , https://wetransfer.com/ etc

Thank you for you help

Thank you for the video. I can see that you use offline map from IGN that you probably downloaded earlier. Are you sure that this offline map contains more data?

Please try online IGN Belgium map in first step - Menu - Maps - ONLINE - NGI - Topo. Does map work properly?

Thanks, Petr

I am regularly using the offline map, and I am pretty sure that it was working before.

The online IGN map is working, but is a bit more blurry than usual (difficult to prove...).

The new version come with automatic map rescale based on device resolution to make the map captions more readable. But it has side effect - map can be really blurry. Regarding offline map - would you please try to download any area and to test if zoom works properly with the new downloaded map?

I have downloaded a new small area of the IGN map, but I don't see any map, at any zoom. It is indeed weird.

Do you think to something else?

Thank you!

Hi,

The offline IGN Belgium map is now perfectly working after the update to 3.38.4.

Thank you!

It's a great challenge to make this app in constant development to match with the devices evolution, and you're doing it very well!
