Lost of all paid data

Luca Giannini shared this problem 23 months ago
Solved

I've moved from locus map classic to the newer locus map 4. The new app transferred all the data from the old app, even maps that I've paid for. Now I don't have anymore my paid maps on the old app and I have to pay them again on the new one. This is not fair at all. I want to move back on the old app with everything I paid for or stay in the new one with the data moved, but without paying.

This sounds like you are on Android 11/12, right?

Only then would data storage be separated between the two Locus apps (ANY other app, too, in fact). You can use x-plore or TC or a PC connection to copy the maps from the Locus 4 location to the Locus 3 one. The other Locus data, you will want, too, I suppose.

Hello,

as Michael said. In Android 11+ data can't be shared between two apps, but you can copy maps to both directories and everything should work properly.

The default directory of the Locus is "Android/data/menion.android.locus/files/Locus" here you can find "maps" and "mapsVector" directories where maps are stored.

Or you can use Locus Map 3 function: "Settings > Misc. > Default directories > Load Locus Map 4 data". You can choose if you want to move or copy them.

Any way nice app. It saved me many times when I was lost in the woods and no other app could help me throught. If the new one could be bought once I would do that.
