Quick-view
Hi,
there are such situations while on a bike with a route in unknown terrain:
1) I am interested in a quick preview - where I am (the larger area of the map is visible a few dozen km) or
2) the route is impassable, it does not exist - so I need to find a detour.
On the screen I have the following displayed: navigation, dashboard and quite a large zoom of the map + binding to the appropriate preset-Cycling.
And now I have a button like Quick-view (or other names: hot-view or sos-view, etc.) which, when tapped, causes:
A) disappearance of navigation (but not the route),
B) increasing the visible area of a few dozen km,
C) rotation of the map in the true direction of N
D) a visible compass
(and by the way: in the Classic, the compass was displayed during navigation, where is it in 4?)
and now: this button would either be timed (for point 1) or tapping it again (point 2) would restore the previous screen (navigation, dashboard, preset)
(maybe like this: short knock - temporary operation, long - until the next knock

thanks for the idea. This seems to be a really really complex task with a bunch of own settings. If I understand, crucial here is the zoom. The rest are just bonuses to see a bigger map area.
Because of this, I see the best possible solution is to use simply zoom-out buttons + active auto-zoom feature. Three quick taps on the zoom buttons or just two-finger zoom (or if more skilled, there should be an option to create a zoom-out button with the "Tasker" application) to get a map overview. After 10 seconds of inactivity, auto-zoom will return zoom back to the defined value.
I'm open to discussion about possibilities, but this task is really too complex to be implemented as proposed. Thanks for understanding.

So that I can see the turns exactly, I have set a zoom to level x at the turn hint. I have realized this via Tasker. The zoom jumps back to the old value after x seconds. The project I have already presented you yesterday and is in the forum.
But there is also an idea, so that Locus does this itself.
