Hello,

First thanks for this incredible application.

In Route planer, I would like to have information below Cursor to GPS line like the attached picture (elevation difference and slope %).

I looked for this setting in manual and help desk, but found only this (5 years dated) : https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/relative-altitude-information and I did not found it in "Entry below Cursor to GSP" (Orientation) of Expert settings

Hi Rafael,

http://docs.locusmap.eu is an obsolete manual for Locus Map Classic which will be retired next year. Updated manual for Locus Map 4 is available at http://docs.locusmap.app.

The parameters for "cursor to GPS line" can be changed in the expert settings > map-screen content:

Hello Michal, thanks for the fast answer.

I have 3 comments:

  1. I found setting "Elevation", but not "Elevation / slote" as I can see on initial attached picture.
  2. I activated "Elevation" setting but did not see it applied. To see attached "With cursor to GPS Elevation activated" picture.
  3. There is a French translation mistake on the available expert settings. To see pictures.
English : "Elevation" is incorrectly French translated in "Altitude". Correct translation is "Elevation" (yes, like English).

The setting called "Elevation" will activate elevation and slope.

I realized that I have to close and restart Locus to accept the setting.

Unfortunatly it desn't work for me, even after several restarting of Locus.

Changing expert setting "Entry above 'Cursor to GPS' " has no effect too (even if I select "Nothing to display"). It always show Distance. Always like attached picture (during use of the route planer).

My settings are :

  • LM version 4.29.0
  • LoRouter Offline
  • Offline map : French North

In your screenshot, you have opened the route planner. There is a separate setting in the Expert Settings for the planning line to the next point: Entry above/below auxiliary lines.

See screenshot.

Graf, it works, thanks a lot.

Do you know the use of "Entry above 'Cursor to GPS' " and " Entry below 'Cursor to GPS' " ? I do not see.

Yes. First you have to activate the option: Settings > maps > auxiliary lines. Cursor to position line. See screenshot 1.

A dashed line is then displayed between your current GPS position and the cursor with the selected values. See screenshot 2.
